Port Pirie has unveiled an Artistic Tribute to its Military Heritage.
South Australian artist Sam Brooks has joined forces with his assistant Mark Harding to create a mural on the historic WW2 Belmont Hangar at Port Pirie Aerodrome.
This collaborative effort between the Port Pirie Regional Council and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs showcases the region’s significant role during World War II.

The mural’s three panels depict the Empire Air Training Scheme, paying homage to the local heroes who trained there.
