Quad bike tragedy on Easter long weekend

A man died in a quad bike accident at a private property in Port Broughton over the Easter long weekend.

Emergency services rushed to the property near the Spencer Highway just after 1am on Saturday, 30 March, after reports two quad bikes had crashed into a paddock fence.

One rider, a 39-year-old Pennington man, was airlifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with serious injuries, and a 50-year-old Hackham man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
