SA has bucked the national trend in new house sales.

The housing Industry Association has revealed in June, SA recorded an increase of more than 30 percent, making us the only mainland state not to see a decline.

HIA Senior Economist Tom Devitt says weak new home sales, together with an elevated number of previous sales being cancelled, has reinforced the expectation the country as a whole will home building at a decade-low, next year.

Building approvals for the Spencer Gulf in June followed a positive trend, with 17 approved in the Port Augusta council area.
