Whyalla’s Christmas Pageant will have new organisers this year, with the previous organisers struggling for volunteers and time.
The GFG Alliance Christmas Pageant has been taken on by the council, who are trying something new and combining the pageant with the Whyalla Community Christmas Carols to become ‘Christmas on the Avenue’.
This will create a bigger, more centrally-located and accessible event for the whole community, and Council will seek community feedback after this year’s event to gauge the preferred format.

The event’s management will be passed on to community groups for next year.
